Introduction to Email Templates

Email templates are the starting place for a powerful tool that allows you to automate emails and quickly send off emails to customers from nearly anywhere in the application. In this article we will look at how to create an manage email templates and where in the application you can use them.

You can see all of your existing email templates on the Email Templates page (Funnels > Email Templates), you can create a new template by clicking the "+ New Template" button here.

You will be redirected to a new page where you can set the name of your template, and add any tags, existing or new, just below that.

Below that you will see the field to add a subject line and a robust rich text field editor to customize the content of your emails, including adding images, quotes, lists, and tables

And finally at the bottom is a toggle to show the email footer in your email, Which contains your company logo, company name, address, phone number, and return email.

Once you are satisfied with your email template just hit the save button at the top to commit your changes.

There are several places you can use email templates to send emails to your customers, let's take a look at a few of them.

Manually sending emails

You can manually send an email anywhere in the application that you see a customers email address, this includes:

• The staff dashboard booking columns
• The Customer Dashboard
• Invoice tab 
• People tab
  
• The staff booking invoice
• Invoice tab
• People tab
• All bookings page
• Users page
• Funnel Responses
• and more

When sending an email manually the "To" field is automatically filled in but can be customized to correct errors or add additional addresses. 

You have the option to select your email template and insert liquid fields into the body content.

At the bottom are two checkbox options to send a copy of the email to yourself and include the associated invoice when applicable.
