More similar to Rows than any of its neighbouring elements, the Container Element is designed to hold other elements and is essential to creating more advanced and engaging layouts for Funnel Steps.

In this article we will look at adding container elements to steps, and adding other elements into containers, as well as exploring the settings available in container, and some different use cases.

Working with containers

You can drag a container anywhere on a funnel step from the sidebar Element tab. Once a container is added to a funnel it has a default height while empty inside the Funnel Editor so that elements can easily be dragged inside, but if you view that step in the published funnel it will take up no space.

Containers have their own rules for how elements are arranged, and unlike rows, containers can be placed inside other containers.

Understanding settings for containers

Containers have full width and height settings and the standard block options you would come to expect from most other elements. You also have the ability to choose the background color, and in future versions you will be able to set border options, corner radius, drop shadow, and position.

Like rows, you have the ability to set the alignment and justification of elements inside. Unique to containers is the ability to set the display as flex or flex column. These options allow you to arrange elements inside to be stacked, or placed side by side.
